Microsoft has intentionally stopped teaching licensing and is now focusing on Azure migration instead. This reflects an internal conflict within the company between pushing cloud adoption and maintaining the traditional licensing model.

The only Microsoft-supported resource for learning about licensing is GetLicensingReady.com. While not a substitute for formal training, it’s a helpful starting point or self-assessment tool.

There are currently no Microsoft licensing certifications. To demonstrate expertise, you’ll need to pursue independent certifications.
